June 2026 will be a landmark moment for sport-related concussion, with the first European Sport Concussion Conference (ESCC) taking place in Nice, France, from June 10 to 12, 2026!

Born from a collaboration between Nice Brain (the Azuréenne Association for Brain Research), organizer of the first three editions of the Colloque Francophone Commotion Cérébrale et Sport from 2021 to 2024, the International Symposium on Sport-related Concussion (ISSC), organizer of the Paris 2023 meeting, and the European Brain Council (EBC), this unique event aims to bring together key stakeholders in both professional and amateur sports, alongside researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, and experts in the field, to raise awareness, exchange knowledge, and promote best practices in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of sport-related concussions.

The program of this first edition will include conferences on the latest scientific advances in diagnosis—from clinical aspects to innovative tools, biology, and imaging—on concussion management, as well as roundtables and practical workshops (neuro-visual and vestibular rehabilitation, medium- and long-term consequences, and career transition management).

The goal is to unite the scientific and sporting communities around a better understanding of concussions, in order to improve athlete safety and the quality of life of those exposed to these injuries.

This inaugural European conference in Nice represents a major step forward in the recognition and management of sport-related concussions, bringing together the multidisciplinary expertise needed to address this public health challenge. It will pave the way for stronger collaboration between researchers, clinicians, athletes, and policymakers, fostering a coordinated and innovative approach to protecting athletes’ brains.

We look forward to welcoming you to Nice, June 10–12, 2026!
